History

The Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. was founded at Campbell University on March 10, 2018, in Buies Creek, North Carolina. It is the first Latino Greek-lettered organization and the first NALFO (National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations) Greek-lettered organization to be established on the campus of Campbell University. The founding intake class of six women was empowered in making their campus aware of the Latino culture and the growing Latino Community. With the guidance of alumnae Hermanas, Jacqueline López, Osvelia Valverde, Mishelle Duran, and Elaine Townsend Utin, the Founding Intake Class was established. Without their hard work and commitment, history could not have been made at Campbell University. They helped open the eyes of our campus to the diversity it holds, the leaders that have yet to be unmasked, and the opportunities that are yet to come.
