Lambda Pi Chi Sorority Celebrates International Badge Day 2016

New York – March 7, 2016 Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Incorporated, is celebrating International Badge Day this March by having our membership wear their badges for the day, at school and at work, and online by posting photos of our Hermanas with their letters and using #badgeday16.

International Badge Day was established in 1997 by the National Panhellenic Conference to set aside a day or an event for women everywhere to wear their sorority badges or letters in a celebration of sisterhood. This year’s theme is “Wear Your Letters on Your Heart.” National and international sorority groups are also participating.

“Today, we are joining NPC and sorority members around the globe with our participation in International Badge Day." said Chris Diaz, national vice president, Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Incorporated. “Today, I, along with my Hermanas, am reminded of why I joined Lambda Pi Chi and in doing so I assess how I am still living the Vision, Mission, and Goals as an alumna member.”

Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Incorporated, administers several philanthropic efforts such as Chance for Change,” “Project L.E.A.A.P,” “Project H.A.C.E.R,” and our  National Book Scholarship. Our members conduct several community service and philanthropic projects during the calendar year from one day activities like walking in the various AIDS Walks and sorting food at the Greater Boston Food Bank to on-going service projects like collecting items for women and families in domestic violence shelters.
