National Book Scholarship

Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. is proud to promote academic excellence.  This award recognizes young women who exemplify not only academic excellence, but also leadership potential and community service, in alignment with our Organization's vision, mission and goals.

This year, the award was presented to three deserving high school seniors in the amounts of $500, $250 and $100 to assist them in offsetting the costs of textbooks, school supplies and other expenses for their first year in college.  Award recipients have been selected from eligible applicants who reside in the city where we host our National Convention.

Direct Hermana donations have funded this award, and each Hermana is sincerely thanked.

Since our founding, Lambda Pi Chi has worked to empower women by providing a supportive network dedicated to their personal and professional advancement. We’ve maintained this legacy through our annual Proyecto H.A.C.E.R. ("Hermanas Advancing Career and Educational Resources") College Book Scholarship. This award recognizes young women who exemplify not only academic excellence, but also leadership potential and community service, in alignment with our Organization's vision, mission and goals. The 2013 College Book Scholarship will assist outstanding graduating high school seniors from New York City in their pursuit of higher education.
